The Polo Fields Foundation of Michigan is excited to host its annual gala and golf outing
“Charity Begins at Home” on
Monday, August 2, 2010 to be held at The Polo Fields-Ann Arbor. This event features an entire day of events: a day of golf, lunch, a lot of fun, a fabulous dinner, silent and an exciting LIVE auction that promises to be a great time for all involved!
Since the inception of our efforts, The Polo Fields Foundation of Michigan has raised in excess of $1,107,500 to benefit medical research and support programs at the Henry Ford Transplant Institute, the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, among others. We are excited to increase this amount in 2010!

Henry Ford Transplant Institute
“Where Miracles Happen”
The Henry Ford Transplant Institute at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit is one of the busiest in the nation. As one of the most highly regarded comprehensive, multi-organ transplant centers in the United States, it is recognized locally and nationally for the transplantation of heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas and bone marrow.
The Transplant Institute also offers the latest treatments and most advanced surgical options during a patient’s most critical health-related crisis. Henry Ford Hospital also serves as a regional tertiary referral center and as such treats a highly-diverse patient population and some of the most complex transplant cases in the United States.
The Henry Ford Hospital Spine and Neurotrauma Center
The Henry Ford Hospital Spine and Neurotrauma Center is an integral part of the Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute and one of the largest neurosurgery spine programs in Michigan. The Center has performed more than 20,000 spine surgeries and was the first in Michigan to perform minimally invasive spine surgery.
The Center’s collaborative approach has resulted in advanced treatment protocols, improved patient care, and better access for family physicians to a broader level of spine and neurotrauma treatments.
